Iceland’s borders are opening after COVID-19. Keep reading to learn about our current COVID-19 rules and regulations. We look forward to welcoming you to Hotel Rangá.

What Do I Need To Enter Iceland?
From April 6, 2021 travelers can visit Iceland upon presenting either a certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a certificate of previous COVID-19 infection. Travelers are now welcome from outside the Schengen zone, which includes the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Asia. Hoping to extend your travels after visiting Iceland? Please note that there are active restrictions across Europe which prevent non-Schengen residents from traveling from Iceland to other European countries. For more information, you can read the official Icelandic government announcement at this link.
How has Iceland handled Covid?
Iceland has imposed strict controls since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as restricting large gatherings and requiring masks in public areas. Over the past year, our government has also implemented a series of more intensive lockdowns to prohibit the spread of the disease. Icelanders have worked together to reduce the spread by wearing masks and staying home.
