Hotel Rangá in south Iceland is proud to share our new stylish and accessible bathtubs. These bathtubs can be found in our Deluxe Superior rooms. Keep reading to learn how these new bathtubs work.

“What makes them special is that the bathtubs are accessible even to those who might have a hard time climbing into a bathtub,” Iceland hotelier Friðrik Pálsson says. “You walk into the tub and close the door behind you. Then, you can settle in as you fill the tub with water. Stay seated until the water drains out and then walk out of the tub again.”

Of course, you can also simply fill it up and get in later. However, the added accessibility is a very exciting aspect. The shower is also more accessible via thehandy little glass door on the side of the tub. The combo has a high quality modern design in a perfect rectangular shape. It provides special comfort, not only through its easy access but also with its spacious interior and its waterproof seating pad.

The pad works as a comfortable seat before, during or following a shower or a soak. It also functions as a handy storage area for shower essentials. What’s more, it can transform into a comfortable backrest while bathing.
“We’ve had these tubs for about a year now, trying them out in six rooms, and so far the response has been very positive,” Friðrik says. “It’s great fun.” Feel like soaking it all in? Contact our front desk at +354-487-5700, through our contact form, or via email: hotelranga@hotelranga.is to book.
