For Enocha Brown, few places in the world hold as much magic as Iceland. After falling in love with the country during a solo visit in 2018, she knew she wanted to return—this time with her family. “It’s just so magical and beautiful,” she says. “I feel so at peace in Iceland.” Recently, she made that dream a reality, bringing her husband and two young daughters along for an unforgettable journey filled with natural wonders, cozy comforts and meaningful moments. In doing so, she came to find a perfect kid-friendly destination in Iceland during her stay at Hotel Rangá.

“I started blogging full time in 2016 and started travel blogging in 2017,” Enocha shares. After the pandemic hit, life slowed down and she focused on growing her family, welcoming two young daughters during that time. “When things started to open up again, I realized how much I missed traveling,” she says. “So I decided to begin travel blogging again—with my family this time.”

That decision sparked a new chapter for the Brown family: one filled with passports, plane tickets, and unforgettable experiences. With her husband and daughters by her side, Enocha now curates family-friendly travel adventures that not only inspire wanderers but provide practical tips for parents navigating the world with little ones.

A Family Haven at Hotel Rangá
While in Iceland, the Browns made a stop at Hotel Rangá. For Enocha, it was more than just a beautiful place to stay—it was a sanctuary that allowed the whole family to truly unwind.
“Hotel Rangá is a must-stay when visiting Iceland,” she says. “The customer service is top-notch, which makes it easier when you’re traveling with kids. You know you’re taken care of.”

The hotel’s Rangá Restaurant was a game changer after long days of exploring. “It’s so amazing to not have to look for a place to feed your children after a full day,” she laughs. “And the food? Absolutely delicious.”

Their daughters had space to roam thanks to the hotel’s open grounds, and the whole family made full use of the cozy hot tubs—something the kids especially loved. “Our room was comfy,” Enocha adds. “They set up two beds for the girls and gave us a room with a hot tub right outside. It made it so convenient to use even in the cold.”

One unforgettable moment? Witnessing the northern lights. “Thanks to the aurora wake-up call, my husband and I saw them for the first time—it was the most magical experience,” she recalls. “They came at 2 a.m., so the kids didn’t catch it, but it was still so special.”

Warmth Beyond the Cold
As a Black family exploring the world together, the Browns are mindful of finding welcoming and inclusive places to visit. In Iceland, they felt nothing but warmth.
“I have never felt anything but welcomed from the Icelandic people,” she shares. “Honestly, I feel more welcomed here than in my own country.” Locals were sweet to the girls, offering treats and kind smiles, and the family felt completely safe during their stay.

Advice for Fellow Traveling Families
So would she recommend Iceland and Hotel Rangá to other families? “Absolutely,” says Enocha.
“Children arguably enjoy things better than adults—they live in the present,” Enocha reflects. “Even if they don’t remember every detail, they’ll remember how it made them feel. And I can’t imagine a more magical place than Iceland for a child to experience the Earth’s beauty.”

As for Hotel Rangá, she describes it as the perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and comfort—ideal for families looking to explore Iceland without sacrificing peace of mind. “It’s close to many of Iceland’s attractions, the customer service is incredible and the amenities give you peace while traveling with kids.”
Enocha Brown is proof that even in seasons of transition, adventure can thrive. With open minds and tiny passports in hand, her family is embracing the world together—one breathtaking view, one kind smile and one unforgettable stay at a time.
