Next weekend marks the return of our annual Wild Game Menu at Hotel Rangá 🍂✨ — a celebration of autumn flavors and local Icelandic ingredients.

This year’s four-course feast features puffin, wild mushroom ravioli, duck breast, and a decadent pistachio crème brûlée to finish things off.

There is no coincidence that South Iceland is often called the Adventure Capital of Iceland, with its black sand beaches, glacier activities and waterfall hunting.

Here are three waterfalls many of our guests visit, all within a 30min drive from Hotel Rangá.

The first one is called Gljúfrabúi, and drops into a cave. Be prepared to get a little wet, but it is worth it.

The second, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, is known for being a 360 waterfall. Meaning? You can walk behind it. It is only 5 min walk from Gljúfrabúi.

Third one, shown in the two last images, is Gluggafoss, or window waterfall. It has a unique rock formation that yes you might have guessed it - looks like a window.

They are all unique and worth adding to you Iceland travel bucket list.
