Waterfalls & Valleys Helicopter Tour
Soar above dynamic waterfalls and valleys on this 65 – 85 minute helicopter tour. Your pilot will first fly over Glymur–Iceland’s second-highest waterfall at 198 m (650 ft). This incredible waterfall looks even more breathtaking from above. Next, you will fly over Þingvellir National Park–the site of Iceland’s ancient parliament and a popular stop on the Golden Circle tour. Be sure to enjoy the views of beautiful Þingvallavatn Lake from above.
Finally, you will fly over a geothermal valley near the Hengill volcano. There, your pilot will make a landing so you can get an up close view of some unique geothermal activity. The valley is a bit of a secret, as it is only accessible after a long hike–or via helicopter. See natural hot springs and bubbling mud pots in the middle of the untouched Icelandic landscape before you get back in the helicopter and head back to the starting point.
Note: Pick up is possible directly from Hotel Rangá at additional cost.

What To Bring
- If your tour includes a landing, as some of our helicopter tours do, we suggest that you wear warm layered clothing since the wind can be cold, even though it is a sunny summer day.
- From October to mid-April we recommend winter clothing.
- Good closed, waterproof shoes are highly recommended unless you want to get your feet wet or take the chance of falling on the rough volcanic terrain we often land on.
- During winter and on glacier landing tours it is especially important to wear good shoes since you’ll be walking on the snow.
- Sitting in our aircraft itself is not cold, it is similar to sitting in a car, so if your tour does not include a landing, a light jacket should be sufficient.
