Go on a Rib safari and experience an incredible tour of the Westman Islands by sea. A Rib boat is a rigid inflatable boat that is known for being easy to maneuver. What’s more, Rib boats are capable of cruising at high speeds! You are in for a fun adventure when you decide to take a Rib Safari tour.
If you want to see it all this is the tour for you. Cruise alongside the smaller islands located off the main island, Heimaey. You can expect to see incredible cliffs, amazing bird life, the famous elephant rock, sea caves and even Súlnasker if weather allows. In fact, you might even see seals and whales if conditions are right! As you explore the Westman Islands, your guide will share stories and history about the area.
Note: This tour is located in the Westman Islands. It takes approximately 30 minutes to drive from Hotel Rangá to the ferry at Landeyjahöfn and another 45 minutes to ride the ferry to your meeting point. It is not recommended to go on this tour if you have back problems or are pregnant.
