Landannalaugar is considered to be one of south Iceland’s most beautiful sights. This highland oasis is surrounded by colorful rhyolite mountains filled with geothermal activity. Walk the many hiking trails found in Landmannalaugar and experience bubbling mud and hot steam escaping from the earth’s crust.
On this 8 hour guided tour, you will drive up into Landmannalaugar around the base of the famous Hekla volcano. As you drive, you will be able to see lava flows that have emerged from Hekla over the centuries. Once you reach Landmannalaugar, you will hike with your guide in the Laugahraun lava field. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing soak in the Landmannalaugar hot spring pool–remember to bring your swimsuits!
