Hekla & Mælifell Adventure
Hekla is one of Iceland’s most active volcanoes, erupting usually at least once every century. Did you know that you can actually take a guided tour of this volcano? After being picked up from Hotel Rangá, you will board a mighty super jeep and drive up around the Hekla volcano.
Enjoy amazing views of Iceland’s south coast as your guide takes you up Hekla. You will go off the beaten path to drive on gravel F-roads and parts of the famous Laugavegur trail. From there, you will make a stop at the incredible Markarfljótsgljúfur canyon. Enjoy lovely views of moss-covered cliffs and the Markarfljót glacial river flowing deep in the canyon.
