Dining

A splendid panoramic river view from the restaurants windows adds to the diner's enjoyment. The giant pine and cedar logs that highlight the restaurant are imported from Canada and radiate a very unique and warm natural “feel”. The emphasis is on excellent yet personal service.

Our Chefs are using the highest quality food with carefully selected organic local ingredients (including local wild salmon, lamb, puffin and seafood). The theme is Icelandic/Scandinavian cuisine with a touch of the modern French & Italian kitchen. The restaurants reputation has made serious rings on the water as a great place to dine excellent gourmet food all over Scandinavia

The original house specialties include an award-winning fish soup; an Icelandic variety of "Surf and Turf" with a combo of local lamb & lobster; and a chocolate & skyr (cheese) cake mosaic. The wine list and the selection of vintage champagnes, whiskeys, sherries and cognacs is presently unchallenged in Iceland outside the capital, and can all be enjoyed upstairs in the lounge and bar.
